After a very early morning and several hours of waiting, I am happy (& relieved) to report that Geordon’s surgery went very well! The surgeon said it was the right decision to go with the method they did as the left side was the more complex of the two aneurysms. He was transferred from the operating room to the intensive care unit and is currently sleeping sitting up (still under the effects of the anesthesia) while the nurses keep an eye on him. He will be in ICU overnight and then moved to a regular ward tomorrow. We would request no visitors until Geordon feels up to it. Thank you!

I have spent a good part of the day reading through the notes sent through on the encouragement link. I am genuinely overwhelmed with gratitude for our community who, though duly concerned, have demonstrated confidence in the process and incredible faith in God who holds all things together. The words with personal touches (emojis & humour), verses, songs, and prayers have contributed to the peace that passes understanding. Again, thank you!

Philippians 4:6–7 (NLT): “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
