Our days are developing into regular rhythms of walks interspersed with naps, punctuated by interactions with others, as able. The doctor who lives on our floor came over last night to remove Geordon’s bandage and we counted 37 staples! It almost matches Joy’s braids. 🙂

A great outcome of this surgery is that Geordon’s appetite has not been affected. The community care continues and we count our blessings every day.

The giant fruit basket we received the other day reminded us of the Fruit of the Spirit series UAE YFC (the organization we work with) is doing on instagram - a theme, a verse, a brief video done by youth from different churches in several Emirates, and a song of the week - currently on week six of nine. We are in a good season to be reminded of these gifts.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23

*A quick note about Josh - his surgery was postponed at the last minute yesterday due to unforeseen circumstances with the surgeon. We will post an update when we know more.
