We arrived home yesterday! Geordon wanted to walk the one mile around our island so we did (gently), soaking in the sun and fresh air. As much as we were grateful for the excellent care at the hospital, we are happy to be back in our own home. We had a great sleep last night with no interruptions and we walked three miles spread over today, paying attention to what Geordon’s body is saying, resting when needed. Just 136 more miles to go. . .any idea why that number??

Emotions are close to the surface. On Wednesday we received the above note sent out to Geordon’s Ironman community. ❤️ On Thursday we heard from a co-worker the need for his wife to have an urgent caesarean in Sudan and we rejoiced when both babe and mom came through it well. 🙌 On Saturday we were shocked to hear about a family with youth we know here - the dad collapsed while running and passed away on Friday night. 😔 Life is precious. Life is fragile. Let’s not take life for granted - let’s live life to the full!
“The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalm 27:1

As Keith use to say to us during our Avila climbs, “Look’in” good G!! Hang in there buddy, can’t wait to go climb another mountain with you or preferably PCT Oregon this summer. We love you, Strome’s
So glad to hear bro Geordon is recovering well, this is the Lord's doing and indeed it is marvelous in our eyes. Thank you Lord!
So glad to hear that all went well and he is up and walking. Praying for his recovery and love the Phil. 4:7 verse!
love,
